About Me

I began my investment industry career in 1987 and joined Stifel in 2009. Prior to joining Stifel, I gained extensive experience at UBS Financial Services, Raymond James, and Roney & Co.

Throughout my tenure, I have continued to leverage my knowledge and insights to help my clients pursue their short- and long-term financial goals. I believe that the privilege of guiding my clients financially is a very high calling. To that end, my team and I dig a little deeper and aren’t afraid to think outside the box. Our underlying philosophy is easy to understand – we’re not here without you. We seek to mitigate risk because we feel a deep responsibility to you. We strive to bring growth and security both financially and emotionally. We further believe that the best relationships are those that correspond with great communication tailored to our clients’ comfort and preference.

Growing up, I watched closely as my father and mother of six children struggled financially for many years. I realized later in my teen years that if my parents had sought out guidance, they could have pursued their financial goals earlier in their lives. I’m proud of the fact that I come from a lower-middle income family. My father always reinforced that each of us could do or become whatever we wanted to be. Although he wanted me to become an attorney, I’m proud of the fact that I chose the investment industry to help people in a way that my father never received.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Alma College and hold Series 4, 7, 9 & 10, 63, and 65 securities licenses.

Active in the community, I previously served as the president of the Exchange Club of Traverse City, past head coach and president of league for Pop Warner Football, and the past head coach of Waves Softball. I also served as the assistant coach for the St. Francis JV Softball team, the assistant coach and head coach of the St. Francis JV baseball team, and the assistant coach and head coach of the St. Francis Varsity baseball team. I also volunteered with Junior Achievement as market game coach.

About Me

I began my investment industry career in 2017 and joined Stifel in 2021. Prior to becoming a Financial Advisor, I served as a law enforcement officer in Traverse City from 2004 to 2017. My roles included patrol officer, undercover narcotics officer, community police officer, hostage negotiator, patrol sergeant, and patrol captain.

My past experiences taught me how to be an active listener, helping me to truly understand how my clients are feeling. I’ve become accustomed to working under pressure while removing any emotion from the situation – an important factor when investing. I learned to thrive within the unexpected, as every day presented its own challenges and the opportunity to overcome them. I have always had a drive to serve my community and help others, and that holds true for my job with Stifel. My professional background has provided me the knowledge to serve my clients and guide them calmly through market volatility as they work toward their long-term financial goals.

I earned an Associate of Applied Science from Northwestern Michigan College and hold Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses.

Passionate about giving back to the community, I am a member of the Home Builders Association of The Grand Traverse Area and the Traverse City Elks Lodge #323. Additionally, I am a board member of Charlie Golf One, a 501c(3) nonprofit group that is raising money to provide a community center and affordable housing opportunities for military veterans in transition from active duty to civilian life. I also enjoy volunteering as a football coach for my children, having coached at Traverse City West Middle School and for the Traverse City Youth Football Pop Warner league.

My family is my world and my constant motivation to be the best I can be. I am a father of five children and am married to my wife, Christina, who has two children of her own. We are very blessed to have a large blended family. Outside of the office, I support our children in everything they do, including sports and extracurricular activities. They keep me very busy, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

About Me

I have more than 30 years of experience in financial services and joined Stifel in 2021. My career in financial services began in 1993 at NBD Bank in Detroit, Michigan.

My mission is to maintain the team’s high-touch communication model, assisting with client education seminars, provide any account updates, and communicate important information that may be needed. I pride myself in communicating effectively, acting as the first point of contact for our team. I believe in working closely with the team and clients to develop a deep understanding of how to best create a high-caliber client experience.

My husband and I moved to the Traverse City Area in 2004, where I have continued my career in the financial services industry. When I am not working, I enjoy boating, snowmobiling, camping, and running.
